Early Summer Inter-Club Aquathon.

 

 

Venue:                 Dovercourt Swimming Pool.

 

Date & Time:                Sunday 4th May; Start time 18:00 approx.

Age groups to be Over 15, Under 15 and Under 11.

 

Over 15’s    400m swim (16 lengths) + 3kms run

Under 15’s  300m swim (12 lengths)+ 2kms run

Under 11’s  200m swim ( 8 lengths)+ 1kms run

 

Scoring to be the fastest 3 people in each age group (male and female). Thus each club will have 18 scoring people, with the others ‘knocking-back’ other competitors.

 

6 swimming lanes available, the event will be organised as:

Team 1 use lanes 1&2;    Team 2 use lanes 3&4;    Team 3 use lanes 5&6

 

Under 12’s start first

Under 16’s start second

Over 16 start last

 

A new swimmer will enter the pool every 2 / 3 minutes. With lane counters to ensure accurate distance swum.

 

The run route, to be all off-road, out the fire-doors, around the Rugby Club house and onto the Promenade.

Cones to be placed for the turn around points for 1km, 2km or 3 km.

 

Finish to be near the swimming pool.
