Southend Wheelers, 85th Celebration - Club Road Race

This could be seen as the blue ribbon event of our club calendar. We have an opportunity for every club member and their invited guests to take part in a race.

With the only venue available being the test track at Dunton we have the advantage of being able to hire the track for longer than we could usually. Therefore we are planning a full programme of events.

In addition to the annual races for the clubs perpetual trophies, we plan to hold separate events for each category of ability level of rider. It is our intention to enable everyone to take part in a race suited to their ability. The races will be as seriously competitive, or not, as you care to make them.

The planning and therefore the event will only be as good as the advance information we receive. For now, all we need to know is that you intend to ride.

So send an email or call me to register your intention to ride by Monday 2 June 2008. I will collate the responses and pass them on to our Road Race Secretary Roy Godbeer to make the arrangements on the day.
